12 week ultrasound

I had my 12w ultrasound today, and HOLY COW, is all i can say!. First of baby has over doubled its size and is now 6.2 cm big (measuring 12w3d) and its SUPER active he/ she was bouncing around, waiving those little arms & sucking his/her thumb!. It was ADORABLE and we got a picture of him/her in a Bodybuilder pose lol it really looks like he/she is showing off those tiny muscles <3
But look for yourself!

Would you look at those tiny arms <3 <3!!!!! tom said " this HAS to be a boy, look at HIM, hes a Show off" lol The doc thought our "little" stickybean was really entertaining but it was a PITA to get any pictures.

He then tried to get a CTL {crown to rumph length} he had to be REAL qick because this baby was ALL.OVER.THE.PLACE. You can see part of the spine and the little shoulder <3

Then right before he was done with the Ultrasound Sticky bean rewarded us with this cute Shot

Sucking his/her thumb.. how adorable!. you can see the tiny fingers <3.

As for MOMMY...i am doing "OK" the Dizzyness is still an issue BUT i can be grateful that my BP is too low ... Too high could be a risk for my little sweetheart!. TODAY my BP was FABULOUS { well for me anyways} 100 over 60!. They did more Bloodwork {honestly dont know what is tested this time lol} i did have a tiny bit blood in my urine but nothing to worry about!.
i was REALLY worried about stepping on the scale LOL. and i DID gain some weight!!!!!! 500gramms lol HEY i gained weight right?????? i am still 2.2 pounds below my Pre-preggo weight {which is totally fine with me} but NOW i really have to start watching what i eat lol!.
I scheduled my LAST Appointment with Dr. Kurtz *insert really sad face here* its on February 24th and T and i HOPE we will find out what we are having.

This is it for today!. I hope everyone has a FABULOUS week.

Week 13 of Pregnancy: Fetal Growth Rates

Your fetus is about three inches long and the size of a peach at 13 weeks pregnant. But don't compare your fetus with the fetus next door. Starting about now, babies begin growing at different paces, some faster than others, some more slowly, though they all follow the same developmental path. Growing at a universally breakneck speed now is your baby's body as it tries to catch up to the head in terms of size. Though your baby's head is about half the size of its body now, by the time your baby is ready to make his or her entrance into the world, the head will be only one-fourth as large as the body.

Your baby's intestines are also in for some big changes right now. Up till this point, they've been growing in a cavity inside the umbilical cord; but now they're moving to their permanent (and more conveniently located) address, in your baby's abdomen.  And to serve your growing baby's needs, the placenta is also growing.  It weighs about an ounce now and will weigh one to two pounds at birth (something else you'll soon be able to blame your weight gain on!).
Also developing this week: your baby's vocal chords. Because sound can't travel through your uterus (your baby's current habitat), you won't be able to hear any sounds or cries just yet, but oh boy (or girl) — those vocal chords will get a good workout once that baby is born.

NT Scan January 30th

I have my "NT Scan" On January 30th {This prenatal test (also called the NT or nuchal fold scan) can help your healthcare practitioner assess your baby's risk of having Down syndrome (DS) and some other chromosomal abnormalities as well as major congenital heart problems.The NT test uses ultrasound to measure the clear (translucent) space in the tissue at the back of your developing baby's neck. Babies with abnormalities tend to accumulate more fluid at the back of their neck during the first trimester, causing this clear space to be larger than average.} I am not too worried about my Baby having down Syndrom, but the OB/Gyn will also take a look at the Babies brain, and i think every mother, who had a baby with brain abnormalities, is scared of this scan!. Sticky beans head looked normal on the ultrassound so far, but there are different stages of "Anencephaly" some might have a "normal" developed Head / scull but the brain is not developed, or maybe it isnt Anencephaly, but something else that involes abnormalities of the Brain....... So i am terrified but happy at the same time. Happy because we get to see sticky bean again, terrified because we dont know the outcome of this scan. I have faith that our baby will be happy and healthy but there is this little nagging voice in the back of my head saying.... WHAT IF........

Breakfast suck....

... when you are Pregnant!. My little Family and i LOVE Breakfast, and every morning i make a Kick ass breakfast, because Breakfast is the most important meal of the day PLUS its SOOOOOO Delicious. We usually have:
Bacon, Eggs ( over easy) Toast with butter / ham & Pancakes
Since i have learned that i am pregnant, i stopped eating over easy eggs { potential exposure to salmonella* }
Bacon {because of the risk of contamination with coliform bacteria, toxoplasmosis**, and salmonella. }
 Deli meat { potential exposure to listeria***}
so my breakfast is SUPER boring :( i usually eat plain toast with some jam. I did try hardboiled eggs... BUT stickybean is not fond of hardboiled eggs... i would go as far as calling him/her a"hard boiled eggs hater" i got SO sick after eating one that i will NEVER ever be able to eat hardboiled eggs anymore... EVER.

I know most ppl will say "aaaah, i still eat my eggs over easy, im pretty sure nothing is gonna happen to my baby" and most of the time it HAS a good outcome, but WHY risk it right?

I can eat as many over easy eggs, Bacon and Deli meat as i want as soon as sticky bean is safe in my Arms :)

*Salmonella infection crosses the placenta and may produce severe disease and death in the fetus, even when maternal symptoms are mild. DONT eat anything containing Raw eggs

**when the mother gets infected between weeks 10-24 , the risk for severe problems in the newborn is about 5-6%. Effects on the baby include: premature birth, low birth weight, fever, jaundice, abnormalities of the retina, mental retardation, abnormal head size, convulsions, and brain calcification.
During the 3rd trimester, a fetus has an increased risk of becoming infected, but the risk of damage to the fetus is decreased since most of the important development has already occurred.

*** Listeria has the ability to cross the placenta and may infect the baby leading to infection or blood poisoning, which may be life-threatening. It can also cause miscarriage

DAMN YOU CRAVINGS....

i havent really had any cravings yet, but today was just ridiculous.
We were invited to my Friends little Girls 5th Birthday atour Local
bowling alley!. They had 4 different kinds of pizza {which i managed to eat a slice of plain cheese pizza without having to gag right after - yay me}, but i was craving cheese fries so hubby made his way over to the counter to order some for me, my preggo butt chased after him saying "WAIT, i might want something else" lol i was staring at the menu for what seemed like FOREVER {thank God the line was really long} and by the time it was our turn to place our order, i decided i HAD to have a hot dog { they usually boil the shit out of those hot dogs so i thought its safe for me to eat}
after HOURS of waiting { ok, ok it was more like 10 minutes, but how DARE they make ME, a preggo chick, wait that long lol J/K} hubby brought me my hot dog with a big smile on his face. i started to nibble on my cheese fries, staring at my hot dog {with a concerned look on my face i guess, because hubby raced to my side asking if i was ok} i looked at him and said " i guess im ok :( but i REALLY dont want that hot dog anymore :((((" it made me so sad, because we just "wasted" money on something i HAD to have but i didnt eat.... tom looked at me and said "its ok schatzi, then dont eat it :)" i swear i am so emotional that i just randomly feel like crying
A few minutes ago i told tom , MAN i am really craving some lasanga right now, and he replies "you want me to get you some" .... i replied " naaaw.... just wait a few minutes and the craving will go away". And sure enough it did lol.
it is funny how different this pregnancy is from my previous Pregnancies, i dont really crave anything sweet. I am all about meats and hearty foods!. Maybe this lil one really is a boy... who knows :)

Thats it for tonight i hope you all had a wonderful weekend

Baking soda test

being a SAHM gives me WAY too much time to google stuff or communicate with other fellow Pregnant Ladies!. In one of my "preggo chicks" FB groups they were discussing the "bakingSoda Test" its an old wives tale and and it says that you can predict the Gender of your Child.
Well OF COURSE i had to try it out lol. The test works as follows: you put bakingSoda in a Plastic cup, pee in a Second Plastic Cup. the  pour the urin into the cup with the Baking Soda and if it foams/fizz's its a Boy and if nothing happens its a Girl.
Mine Foamed like CRAZY lol so according to the BakingSoda test its supposed to be a boy, but like a said its an old wives tale, it was just a fun project to do to kill time!. but who knows maybe it was right ;) we will know in about 10 weeks ... well YOU will know sometimes in august ;)

Thats it for tonight

husband pregnant as well???

well i know its not possible for him to actually BE pregnant... but he sure EATS like a preggo chick!. He has been stuffing his face all day!he eats/ snacks CONSTANTLy... and tonight he had a pretty big dinner ( lasagna with a breadroll and cucumber salad) and not even 20 minutes later he ate TWO big plates of left over chinese food... RIGHT NOW he is sitting on the couch stuffing his face with popcorn and german "twizzlers"..  that man can EAT!. and he doesnt gain ONE POUND.... {so jealous}

me?! i dont have an appetite what so ever. i ate a small breakfast and then dinner. i dont snack / eat sweets as much as i did with the girls or even before i became pregnant. Which i dont mind at all, im pretty sure, once im out of the first trimester my appetite will be back { in full force}

EDIT: i think the reason why my husband eats so much is that now food {according to him} tastes SO much better since he quitt smoking last year { go hubby}

unplanned OB/GYN Visit

i wasnt due for another OB visit until the 30th of this month, but last night i was in so much pain that i couldnt do ANYHTING but lay on the couch / bed curled up in a ball!. and to make things worse i wasnt able to pick up sticky beans heartbeat all day. We thought about going to the LMRC but it was late already, and they would have kept me for hours i didnt want to do that to my kids. I thought as long as there is no bleeding im fine!. Then today i tried to pick up sticky beans heartbeat again, with no luck. I know that the fetal Doppler, at this stage of pregnancy, isnt always able to pick up the babys heartrate PLUS its implanted low AND i have a retroverted Uterus so i know i shouldnt freak out BUT with the pain i was experiencing i wanted to make sure sticky bean is OK.
I called my Doc and his assistant told me to come in right away.i had to give a urin sample they had me step on the scale {which is still going down} took my BP { which is WAY low with 85/55} Dr told me to take Iron, Magnesium and fiber. Last but not least we got to see stickybean with a beautiful Heartbeat!.

its amazing how FAST they grow!.

Mommy is no fun anymore

Today we took the kids to yabadoo they had a BLAST. But i almost DIED after "running" around with the kiddos for only 5 minutes! I felt like my heart is about to pop out of my chest, i got dizzy and crampy. I also started to "bleed" a lil more then usual!. so i sat down for the rest of the day not doing ANYTHING. We are home now, hubby gave the Girls a bath and i am about to take one myself!. We tried to Pick up sticky beans heartbeat as soon as we got home, with no luck, i will OF COURSE try again later on tonight once the girls are asleep!.

I swear i feel like 8 months pregnant already :( I hope that once the hematoma is gone and i am out of the first Trimester that i will be able to do more, i feel Guilty because i cant do much with my Daughters. I am just really happy that hubby is home & able to play with the Girls.

I really dont know how i will be able to "rest" and "relax" with all the things that still HAVE to be done!. I know my limits and i slow down/stop before i get all dizzy / exhausted.  Luckily we dont have to pack ONE THING for this upcoming move!.

First Baby purchase

OK not really for Sticky bean. Hubby bought me a Diaper bag today :D  Isnt it PRETTY <3

some of you might think now " But its PINK, what if you do end up having a boy"
Well my lovely readers. this diaperbag is for ME not for the baby right? Besides i have two daughters so the "males" are a bit outranked in our family lol. I dont think sticky bean {if he happens to be a boy} will mind mommy wearing a pink diaper bag ;)

8 week Baby visit

i JUST got back from my "Baby visit" and i am STOKED to say things start to look good for us!. The baby is still very very low, but its right above my Cervix Canal with is GOOD { if the baby would be in my cervix canal it wouldnt have room to grow and i would have had to terminate the pregnancy} The babys grpwth is right on target { sticky bean is 1.84cm } and his/her heart was beating away!. There is still ALOT of blood in my uterus but the Doc said as the baby grows it will push the blood out of my uterus!. Another improvement is i went from visits every two weeks to every FOUR weeks which is AWESOME, because it means sticky bean is doing GREAT!. The Dr also saw sticky bean MOVING :D i missed it {booohoo}

ALSO!!!!!!!... it looks like we will be leaving this year :D the Dr gave me to ok to fly {wooohooo} however tom will request to extend his Deros for 3 months that way i have enough time to get my visa stuff done and out of the way and we have enough time to outprocess!. The Dr said Flying is as "risky" as driving long distant.

I couldnt be happier <3

another ultrasound

i feel like everytime i go in for an ultrasound { at the clinic in Landstuhl} i get told " not to get my hopes us" to " not tell anyone because it would be too heart breaking to call everyone to inform them i lost the baby"
The baby is right on track and has a beautiful heartbeat {150bpm} but i also have an almost 2 inch big blood clot right above the baby. If that blood clot should pass soon the chances are high it will push the baby out as well { because of sticky beans location}. I hate not knowing whats going to happen!. i have another ultrasound on Monday { with my regular OB/GYN}

Also this MS is really starting to kick my A$$.... i had less then 600 calories today :( i am thinking about ordering one of those "Sea Bands" they are supposed to help with MS. Im definitely not going to take any more medicine i have a hard time swallowing the three pills i have so far, i dont need to add another one!

How's your baby measuring up this week? At a length of about half an inch right now, your baby has graduated from blueberry-sized to raspberry-sized. But weekly growth is getting a bit hard to estimate, and here's why: Growth occurs at about the rate of one millimeter each day, but that growth isn't necessarily just in height. Spurts can occur in the arms, legs, back, and other parts of your baby's body. So, big changes will be occurring every which way in the coming months.

What else is changing at 8 weeks pregnant? A close-up view of your little embryo (say cheese!) would reveal a more baby-like appearance (and thankfully, a less reptilian one). You'd see an upper lip forming, the protruding tip of that cute button nose, and tiny (and very thin) eyelids. And check out those hands and feet! Your baby's webbed fingers and toes are differentiating now, so give your baby a round of applause.

All this growing is exciting for your baby too. How do you know? His or her heart is beating at the incredible rate of 150 times per minute. (That's twice as fast as your heart beats.) Your baby's digs are growing, too. Amniotic fluid increases at a rate of about two tablespoons per week to accommodate your womb's growing tenant.

Huge Scare

Yesterday was crazy. we went to my moms { which is always stressful due to the big crowd thats usually at my moms house} we opened the gifts early { which was nice} and at around 1730 we were on the way back home!. We put the kids down for bed and i jumped in the shower!. i wrapped a towel around me and walked into the Living room when all of a sudden Blood came GUSHING out of me { i havent seen that much blood in all my life} and i passed 2 BIG Blood Clots!. I broke down crying knowing that i lost the baby!. T and i were debating if we should go to the hospital right away or to wait till today. We decided to wait since i was in no pain at all and judging the size of the blood vlots i was almost positive i passed the baby!. I couldnt sleep all night.
Then this AM i got up and all the bleeding was gone { in fact it stopped soon after i passed the 2 B.C} we had breakfast and the kids got to open their gifts!. I asked my neighbor C if she would watch bells while we go to the ER in Landstuhl {German Clinic}. Once we got there we talked to the ER Doc and they Called the OB/GYN on call!. she had tom and hailey wait in the waiting room and i went into the office with her!. She asked me a bunch of questions and about my history / previous Pregnancies etc.... after i told her about the amount of blood and the clot size she wasnt really hopeful that there is still a baby!. I finally got to change and she did  a Vaginal ultrasound!.

i was SHOCKED when i saw my "tiny" bean and a strong beautiful heartbeat <3 i was speechless because i did not expect to see our beautiful sticky bean!.

Also according to my LMP i am 6w6d but according to sticky bean { who grew from 0.35mm to 12.5mm in 5 days} i am 7w3 days <3
This is our little Christmas miracle and prayers DO work!!...
The Doctor cannot explain why i was bleeding so much but she said it might have been the hemorage that i had/have in my uterus!.

EDIT: Also it seems like sticky bean moved up a bit, but i am not for sure. i hope the dr on tuesday can tell because she has seen the baby this last tuesday

Hot & hungry

My Husband and i had the funniest argument EVER the other night!. I am so uncomfortable at night and have really bad Hot flashes. I lay in bed oly wearing a shirt screaming "IT SO HOT IN HEEEEEEEERE" while i kick away the thin sheet i was covered with!. He chuckles and said "WHAAAT are you kidding me?? the heater is OFF the window is open ALL.THE.WAY its in the middle of december... THERE IS SNOW ON THE GROUND ... and you are still hot??" i didnt know if i should laugh or cry {thank you homones}.THEN my husband tries to snuggle up next to me { and lets face it that man is a damn heater} and i say " Honey i love you to death but if you dont let go of me like RIGHT NOW im going to kick you out of this bed" he knows its all in good fun  But its really hard for me to sleep at night :( Then once i am asleep i wake up every our to go pee and the whole thing starts from the beginning!
Also remember the first pregnancy surveys i posted and said i dont have morning sickness..... scratch that.... it just took me 45 minutes to eat a small yoghurt with TWO grapes, half an apple and some Granola... thats all i had since yesterday. I am Hungry but there is no way ill eat anything because i feel super crappy after every "meal" Thank God Sticky bean is still so little and isnt suffering from lack of nutrition.
Tomorrow is Christmas and we will spend it with my Parents in Trier.... CANT WAIT to stare at all the delicious food not daring to eat any of it.

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas <3

EFMP

We went to the EFMP office today to see what steps we have to take in order for Toms orders to get changed/canceled. We have our "EFMP enrollment appointment" on January 18th I have to be seen by an ARMY Dr. And HE will decide if I am high risk / allowed to fly or not! After that we will have to bring the paperwork to the lady responsible for toms orders! The EFMP guy said it won't be a problem to move toms deros to the right or cancel his orders {if they cancel the orders he will come down for a new assignment } I just hope everything works out the way we are hoping for! Now all I have to do is contact someone from the embassy in Frankfurt and see if they just hold on to my paperwork until my due date gets closer or if I have to start from scratch again! But at this point I really don't care anymore! All I am worried about is sticky bean <3

Cervical Pregnancy

OK i usually dont do this BUT in this case i HAD to... i opened the Clinic OBGYN's letter that i got yesterday to give to my Reg OBGYN. My Diagnosis was "Cervical Pregnancy" i looked it up and EVERY page suggested that the pregnancy has to be terminated because its life threatening. It said that most of the pregnancies dont make it past the first trimester {spontaneous Abort} but the ones that make it past the 1st Trimester can cause massive bleeding and i could end up having to have a Hysterectomy
I am just wondering, If its really THAT bad and life threatening for me, WHY they havent told me  My Friend Nia suggested that maybe my baby is only Close to my cervix but they have to use "cervical Pregnancy" because they dont have another diagnosis for it? i am confused and dont know what to think / do anymore GAAAAAH this is driving me NUTS

Tuesday, December 20, 2011

I feel so useless, because there is nothing I can do, to make this pregnancy easier for sticky bean! I feel like as soon as we get some "good news" we get a whole bunch of crappy news thrown at us as well. Like " the baby has a strong heartbeat....... BUT....... there is a lot of blood and your baby his implanted very low" it seems like I can't catch a break!. I am trying everything I'm my power to keep this baby, God knows I couldn't deal with another loss!

I also thought about not updating this blog for a while, because I feel that some of the ppl on FB are getting annoyed by my Whiney complains and don't wanna hear no more of it! Which I understand then most of them have never had to deal with any of this and don't know/ can't imagine what it's like to go through this! But I also know that I have a few kick ass friends that support me and are not annoyed and want those updates, so I am confused and not sure what to do! I might have this blog for invited friends only

Quick update

FIRST OFF I DO NOT TOLLERATE ANY "I TOLD YOU SO/ I TOLD YOU EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE OK" OR "SMARTASS" COMMENTS, MY HUSBAND AND I ARE GOING THROUGH ALOT ALREADY WITHOUT STUPID COMMENTS FROM FRIENDS

Good news the little black dots are NO "Moles"
bad news.. its blood.. {see ultrasound - upper left corner}
i have those tiny spots all around the baby.
The Doc said at this point, its a go or no go
{ meaning either the baby sticks or i lose the baby}
i am on progesteron 3times a day Magnesium and prenatale Vitamins. {Stick Baby Stick}
I asked her if i am allowed to fly since we are supposed to PCS in March, and she said that if the Baby Sticks that i am HIGH risk and i am NOT allowed to fly { due to the location of the baby + the bleeding i already have}. Now we are facing LOTS of challenges. i have to get a statement from my Doc saying im not allowed to fly due to my condition and we PRAY that they will change / cancel toms orders. THEN i have my visa to worry about. as soon as i recieve my visa i have to activate my GC within 6 months of receiving my Visa { meaning ill have to fly to the states} i will have to contact the Embassy soon and see what we can do about it!.
Thats it for now im off to take a nap while my wonderful hubby takes care of the Apt

Whats the baby up to this week
How does your baby grow? Pretty fast, actually. At 7 weeks pregnant, your baby's length is approximately a quarter of an inch — the size of a blueberry. Sounds pretty tiny still? Consider this for a little perspective: Your baby is 10,000 times bigger now than it was at conception a month ago.

The biggest fetal growth this week is your baby's head (the better to store all those smarts in), with new brain cells being generated at the rate of 100 cells per minute. How's that for a budding genius?

And talking about buds, your baby is going out on a limb this week as his or her arm and leg buds begin to sprout and grow longer (and stronger), dividing into hand, arm, and shoulder segments — and leg, knee, and foot segments (though the limb buds look more like paddles than hands or feet at this early stage).
Also forming this week are your baby's mouth and tongue. And although your embryo is just one month old, it's already gone through three sets of kidneys. The ones in place now are the permanent set and are poised to begin their important work of waste management. In about a week, your baby will start producing urine. Lucky for you, there's no need for diapers (yet). As your baby matures inside you, much of that urine will be excreted into the amniotic fluid, swallowed again by your baby, and then excreted again in a continuous cycle.
